About the Author
Aileen Smith-Forbes is a native of Jamaica. She migrated to the United States as a teenager, currently residing in Brooklyn New York with her family. She developed a penchant for creative writing as a teenager after spending a significant amount of time in the library. Her high school librarian encouraged her to use her overactive imagination and passion for reading to writing her novel. Perfect Imperfection is her debut novel. Aileen’s altruistic ways are a catalyst for her spending time volunteering in the community. In honor of her beloved father, this naturally led her to establish a foundation to memorialize him. The foundation raises money for scholarships for children in two underserved communities in Jamaica West Indies.
